A POLICE officer attached to the Criminal Investigation Department at the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters was found dead after allegedly falling from a building in Section 14 here early Wednesday.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the Shah Alam district police control centre received information regarding the case at approximately 3.07am.

“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene and the case has been classified as a sudden death pending the outcome of a post-mortem examination,” he said in a statement today.

Authorities have yet to disclose further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Shazeli added that the Selangor police force extends its condolences to the victim’s family and urged members of the public not to circulate speculation that could interfere with ongoing investigations. - May 20, 2026
