A 27-YEAR-OLD woman was killed while two men were injured after the car they were travelling in was involved in a collision on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Expressway early Monday morning.

Kajang district police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said the accident occurred at about 5.45am at Kilometre 298.8 of the highway and involved two vehicles.

He said the driver of a brown Perodua Bezza, travelling with two passengers, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer to the right side of the road before crashing into a metal barrier and spinning around.

"A white car travelling from behind then collided with the Perodua Bezza before leaving the scene," he said in a statement.

Naazron said the female passenger, aged 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 20-year-old male driver and another male passenger, aged 22, were injured and are receiving treatment at the Red Zone and Yellow Zone of Hospital Serdang.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Police urged anyone with information regarding the accident to contact Inspector Ahmad Zahrein Muhd Suod at 017-3818422.

Naazron also reminded road users to practise safe driving, obey traffic regulations and remain cautious while on the road. - July 12, 2026
