THE Pahang royal family is mourning the death of Tengku Puteri Seri Kemala Tengku Datuk Seri Aishah, elder sister of Sultan Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who died at a Kuala Lumpur hospital at 9.15pm last night.

Royal Comptroller to the Sultan of Pahang, Major General Datuk Mohamed Zahari Yahya, said the late princess’s remains would be taken to the Pahang Royal Mausoleum in Pekan this morning for burial with full honours and royal ceremonial rites.

He said her passing was a profound loss to the Pahang royal household, particularly to Sultan Abdullah and Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

“May Allah SWT shower His mercy upon the soul of the deceased, forgive all sins and shortcomings, accept all acts of worship and good deeds performed throughout her life, and place her soul among the righteous and in His Paradise.

“Let us all pray that the soul of the deceased will be among the righteous women,” he said in a statement last night.
