FOR Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, a child’s smile is more than just a moment of happiness — it is a glimpse of the Malaysia the country is working towards.
In a Facebook post today, Anwar said children must be cared for and protected, describing their smiles, dreams and hopes as an amanah that must be looked after.
“Children are the face of the future of a Malaysia MADANI. Every smile, dream and hope they have is an amanah for us to continue caring for and protecting,” he said.
He said Malaysia must continue working towards creating a safer and more prosperous environment where children can grow up with opportunities.
“Insya-Allah, we will continue striving to build a more perfect Malaysia so that they can grow up in an environment that is peaceful, prosperous and full of opportunities,” he said.
Anwar’s message was a simple one: the Malaysia being built today is the country its children will grow up in.
And for those children, the hope is that there will be room not only to grow, but also to dream about what comes next. - September 3, 2026
