A PORSCHE car was destroyed, with only the frame remaining after it caught fire at the exit to the Lanchang Toll Plaza on the East Coast Highway (LPT1) today.

Assistant Director of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Pahang, Mohd Salahudin Isa, said there were no casualties in the incident at about 1 pm.

"The incident involved a Porsche car which was 100 per cent burnt.

"It did not involve any victims; the 36-year-old driver of the car is safe," he said today.

According to him, the fire engine, which arrived at the scene at 1.42 pm, carried out extinguishing operations using a single stream of water hose.

He said the fire was successfully controlled at 2.08 pm and the operation ended at 2.28 pm. – September 11, 2026
