A SECTION of the Gua Musang-Kota Bharu road has been closed to all vehicles after a sinkhole opened along the FT08 route near Taman Rekreasi Kesedar this morning.

The incident occurred at about 9.05am along Section 205.556 to 205.564 of the Central Spine Road (Lingkaran Tengah Utama, LTU) project, involving Packages 3B and 3C.

The sinkhole measured approximately eight metres deep and nine metres long, according to reports from the Gua Musang Public Works Department (JKR) and road maintenance concessionaire Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd.

Motorists have been advised to use FT2747, via Jalan Pulai towards Bandar Baru Gua Musang, as an alternative route.

Gua Musang district police chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo confirmed the incident when contacted. - October 10, 2026
