A WOMAN in her 20s was injured in a suspected acid attack by her boyfriend after she tried to end their relationship in an incident in Petaling Jaya on Tuesday.

The victim, who works at an eatery, suffered burn injuries and was taken to University Malaya Medical Centre for treatment.

Petaling Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Shamsudin Mamat confirmed that police had received a report on the incident and were investigating.

He said both the victim and suspect were foreign nationals and had been in a relationship.
