GABUNGAN Parti Sarawak (GPS) will contest all 82 seats in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) in the 13th State Election (PRN13).

Sarawak Premier and GPS Chairman, Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, said the decision was reached following a meeting with the presidents of the coalition's component parties.

He said that GPS is awaiting the EC's announcement regarding the election date before deciding on the next course of action.

Regarding the allocation of seats among the GPS component parties, Abang Johari—who is also the President of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB)—noted that the matter would be discussed in detail, based on the seats currently held by each party.

On October 23, Abang Johari announced the dissolution of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly, effective October 26, to pave the way for the 13th State Election.

The Election Commission (EC) is scheduled to hold a special meeting on November 6 to deliberate on key dates and other matters concerning the state election. - October 28, 2026
