KUALA LUMPUR – Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has called on residents to continue to be its “eyes and ears” in relation to road damage, and provide information to the “DBKL Pothole Complaints” WhatsApp channel.

DBKL Civil Engineering and Drainage Department senior deputy director Azli Shah Ali Bashah said his office has received 1,224 complaints since the channel was launched on January 7.

“A total of 702 complaints were related to potholes, and of that number, we have resolved 531 cases, or 76%.

“Other complaints, such as on drains, were also forwarded to us,” he told the Influencer @ JaPen programme posted on the Kuala Lumpur Information Department’s Facebook page today.

The public can send their complaints to the WhatsApp channel at 011-6239-6652. – Bernama, February 24, 2021
