KUALA LUMPUR – After an intense car chase and bullets being fired, police apprehended a 35-year-old man.
The suspect was caught in a residential area in Desa Aman, about 1km away from where he ditched his car, in which a K9 unit and the Forensics Department found 1.7g of heroin.
The man has a record involving eight drug offences.
Police are still on the hunt for the suspect’s accomplice – a man in his 40s known as “Bob Mah Sing”. They will be seeking a remand order against the first suspect.

At about 12.45pm today, police received information from a patrol car – attached to the Gombak police headquarters – that it is in pursuit of a Proton Waja (MAS 175), which refused to stop.
While at a traffic light near a roundabout in Sierramas, Sg Buloh, the suspects, who were in the Proton Waja, crashed into vehicles in front, as well as at the back and right side of their car to evade police.
They also attempted to ram into a patrol vehicle, forcing an officer to shoot the front tyres of their car numerous times.
A video of the incident recorded on a dashcam of a car has gone viral.
“The suspects then managed to escape towards the Kuala Selangor-Sg Buloh road, before ditching their car at the side of the road due to punctured tyres,” Petaling Jaya police chief Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal. – The Vibes, February 26, 2021
