KOTA KINABALU – Newly-appointed chief minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor has volunteered to undergo self-quarantine after being sworn-in on September 29.
In a statement from the state secretary office, the government will operate as usual and if any meeting is called, it will be conducted via video conferencing.
“The chief minister has volunteered to undergo a two-week self isolation after being exposed to individuals who had tested positive for Covid-19,” it said.
Talks of Hajiji being in quarantine surfaced on Tuesday. Earlier, officials from the chief minister’s office have denied the rumours. – The Vibes, October 8, 2020
