BUKIT MERTAJAM – Police are looking for a man who has been accused of sexually assaulting his biological daughter since she was 6 years old.
The victim, now 18 and working as a shop assistant, in a report said she did not lodge a report before as she did not want her parents to divorce, as well as feared her father’s retaliation.
She was also traumatised by the ordeal over the past 12 years, she added.
She claimed that her father, now 45, has raped and sodomised her.
According to the victim, she will be sexually assaulted while sleeping with her parents in their apartment here when her mother is asleep.
She lodged a report at the Bukit Tengah police station on Tuesday.
The last time she was allegedly assaulted was at about 6.30pm on Tuesday, when her father inserted his hand into her panties and rubbed her private parts while her mother was in the bathroom.
Seberang Prai Tengah police chief Shafee Abd Samad said the suspect stopped his act upon seeing his wife exit the bathroom.
In her report, the victim also claimed that she was forced to have sex with her father almost every day since she was 6 years old.
Shafee said the suspect has fled upon learning about the report, adding that police have mounted a manhunt to find him.
“The last sexual assault before (the one on Tuesday) was reportedly committed in early last year.
“All the incidents allegedly happened in the hall of the apartment. There are no eyewitness in this case.”
The case is being investigated under Section 376B of the Penal Code for incest.
Under the clause, whoever commits incest shall be punished with a jail term of between 10 and 30 years and be liable for whipping. – The Vibes, May 28, 2021
