BUKIT MERTAJAM – Police have called for the public to cooperate and not share a recent viral video of a naked man riding a motorcycle.

Seberang Prai Tengah district police chief Shafee Abd Samad said police had detected a viral video on WhatsApp since yesterday showing a man riding a motorcycle in the nude.

He said the results of the investigation found that the incident took place at Jalan Muthupalaniappan here, and was recorded by another motorcyclist.

“Investigations found that the individual involved has mental health problems and has often been spotted talking alone recently.

“Following that, the individual is now being referred to the psychiatric unit of Seberang Jaya Hospital for further action,” he told reporters today.

Shafee appealed to the public not to spread the video to maintain sensitivity and respect for the man’s family.

The 29-second video shows a stocky man riding a motorcycle in the nude, and has been going viral on WhatsApp and social media since yesterday.

The incident was also witnessed by other road users, who were generally shocked by the undressed man. – The Vibes, August 13, 2021
