KUALA LUMPUR – An attempt to distribute drugs via courier failed with the arrest of a man at a delivery company in Cheras on Wednesday.
District police chief Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said the suspect was nabbed about 11.45am with a box containing methamphetamine weighing approximately 2.3kg.
“Some two hours after the arrest, police picked up another two men at a condominium in Kajang before raiding an apartment in Wangsa Maju, where they discovered 6.9g of methamphetamine, ketamine (7.88g), heroin (2.36g) and Erimin 5 pills (4.42g) estimated to be worth RM85,000.”
All the suspects are between 26 and 59, and unemployed. One has previous drug and criminal records.
“Two of the suspects tested positive for drugs,” said Idzam.
The trio have been remanded between two and seven days. The investigation is being conducted under Sections 39B, 39A(1), 12(3) and 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. – The Vibes, August 14, 2021
