KUALA LUMPUR – PAS and 18 of its MPs today make clear its unwavering support for Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Bernama reported.

Secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan describes the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government as a caring one, saying this move will safeguard the people’s safety and the country’s economy and harmony.

In a Facebook post this morning, Takiyuddin said PAS is calling for Barisan Nasional lawmakers to defend the prime minister’s leadership and the PN administration.

This public support comes after Umno Supreme Council meeting last night.

After yesterday’s high political drama, Umno, which is PAS’ Muafakat Nasional ally, decided to stay put in the PN pact.

Just three weeks ago, Umno threatened to quit PN and would only continue working with the prime minister on certain terms and conditions. – The Vibes, October 27, 2020
