KOTA KINABALU – The Sabah government will give a RM300 one-off assistance to tourism players in the state who have lost their source of income due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin yesterday said the aid will come from the RM1 million Prihatin assistance allocated for the ministry out of the additional RM160 million in funding approved by the state government.

Jafry urged state tourism players to stay strong and use this downtime to upgrade tourist attractions.

A total of 3,957 individuals, including tourist and mountain guides, dive masters and porters, will get the RM300 aid. – The Vibes, October 30, 2020
