MIRI – One of the buildings at SMK Balai Ringin in Serian was in a pre-dawn fire today.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call at 3.04am that a fire had broken out at the school.

“The security guard said he heard an explosion, and fire quickly spread throughout the affected building.

“The destroyed building houses the administration office and teachers’ office. No one was staying there,” it said in a statement.

The Fire and Rescue teams are still investigating the incident while police have deployed a team to the site. – The Vibes, January 8, 2022
