GEORGE TOWN – Warisan will not be caught up with slogans, catchphrases, and antagonistic remarks like DAP, said appointed state coordinator Jeff Ooi in a snide jab at his former party.

He promised that Warisan won’t be preoccupied with being antagonistic like DAP.

The former Jelutong MP under the DAP banner said Warisan also plans to contest in all Parliament and state seats in Penang.

“We will go all out, and no seat will be left wasted.

“When we officially joined Warisan three days ago, we had a brainstorming session to plan according to data. We really appreciate NGOs and think-tanks for providing us with the information.”

Ooi said Warisan will work hard to take off despite having a short runway and a large raft of goods and promises.

He added that Warisan will work with Muda, led by Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, but is unsure of other partners in the future.

“There must be three conditions. These parties must not be based on race or religion, and must spur the younger generation to take up roles in politics.

“Today we introduce Martin. More will join Warisan,” Ooi said in a press conference today.

Aside from Ooi, former Batu Lanchang rep Datuk Danny Law Heng Kiang and former Penang DAP chief of staff Martin Lim announced their entry into Warisan today.

Sabah-based Warisan, under the leadership of Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, has begun to make its mark in Penang.

Last month, 1,500 Penangites reportedly joined Warisan. – The Vibes, January 24, 2022
