KUALA LUMPUR – The bodies of two 19-year-olds were discovered in a Toyota Alphard at the basement parking of a residence building in Bandar Sri Permaisuri, Cheras on Sunday.

Passers-by found the female victim in the front passenger seat and the male in the backseat.

Cheras district police chief Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said in a statement today that initial inspections of the victims and the site of the incident revealed no criminal elements.

“The case has been classified as sudden death and investigations are underway.”

He added that the bodies have been sent to Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM Hospital’s forensic department for post-mortem.

He said the district police control centre had received a call from a member of the public notifying them of the bodies last Sunday.

A team of officers from the Salak Selatan police station, Cheras Criminal Investigation Department, and Kuala Lumpur Forensic Department had then acted on the information and inspected the incident scene.

Those with information on the incident can call Salak Selatan police station chief Muhd Arfizan Ab Aziz at 019-919-8729 or the nearby police station. – The Vibes, June 1, 2022
