KUALA LUMPUR – For two consecutive days, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor has shown up at the courts complex here to support her imprisoned husband Datuk Seri Najib Razak in his other trials.

However, her arrival today drew the ire of reporters who had been stationed at the main entrance since early morning as she and her entourage came in via the “exit” door instead.

Rosmah and her entourage casually strolled into the courthouse via the exit door, despite security officers having prevented members of the public from doing so multiple times earlier.

A photographer for a local news portal questioned the purpose of a media waiting area when VIPs can choose how they come and go.

“The (security) guards on duty sometimes yell at members of the public for going through the wrong door, but why were they silent when Rosmah walked in?”

This sentiment was shared by most of the media personnel The Vibes spoke to.

A reporter for a Malay-language daily also chimed in, saying: “Who does she think she is? Why won’t she let us do our job properly?”

Rosmah is present at the court complex here to support her husband Datuk Seri Najib Razak who is accused of tampering with the 1MDB audit report.

Next Tuesday (August 30), the high court is set to decide on Rosmah’s latest application to disqualify lead prosecutor Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram from her graft case involving the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project in Sarawak.

This comes after Rosmah filed an application on June 24 seeking to declare the appointment of Sri Ram as the ad hoc prosecutor as unlawful. – The Vibes, August 26, 2022
