MIRI – Sarawak Pakatan Harapan (PH) is in the final stages of determining its candidates for the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).

Sarawak PKR deputy chairman Abun Sui said its coalition partners, namely DAP and Amanah, will be meeting in Kuching tomorrow to discuss the seat allocations and other key issues related to the preparations for GE15.

“The distribution of seats (for 31 parliamentary seats in Sarawak) is more or less already agreed upon.

“There are, however, several constituencies where we need to scrutinise again in a more detailed manner.

“We will need to sort these out very soon, then confirm the seat allocations, once that’s settled, we must then focus totally on ground preparations.

“There is very limited time left before GE15 is called,” Abun told The Vibes today, after he and Sarawak PKR chairman Roland Engan arrived in Kuching today from Miri.

Last week, it was reported that state ruling coalition Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is in the midst of finalising its candidate list for GE15 and is ready to mobilise for the national polls at a moment’s notice.

A senior GPS figure had recently said the alliance could win 28 out of the 31 parliamentary constituencies in Sarawak. – The Vibes, September 1, 2022
