KOTA BARU – Water supply disruption at the Machang Hospital on Monday and Tuesday was caused by damages to the Sungai Bagan Machang Water Treatment Plant in Sungai Bagan, Machang.

Kelantan State Health Department director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said damages at the treatment plant had caused disruption to the hospital’s water supply, especially the main tank.

Following the disruption, Air Kelantan Sdn Bhd quickly sent water supply to Machang Hospital’s main water storage tank.

“Water supply has been restored yesterday evening in stages and the level of water turbidity is improving,” he said in a statement today.

Dr Zaini also said the hospitals’ services and patient management were not affected by the disruption.

“The state health department expresses regret over the inconvenience faced and appreciation for the quick action taken by Machang Hospital, Radicare and Air Kelantan to overcome the disruption,” he added. – Bernama, September 7, 2022
