No casualties in Ampang’s Taman Mega Jaya landslide

KUALA LUMPUR – An estimated 30m-high landslide has hit a residential area in Taman Mega Jaya, Ampang.

​According to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, no one was hurt in the incident believed to be caused by a broken pipe and maintenance works carried out by Indah Water Konsortium.

No property damage was reported and an emergency call was placed at 2.48pm today.

The Fire and Rescue Department also said that the nearest residence is estimated to be 20m away from the landslide, and that its personnel will continue to monitor the affected area. – The Vibes, December 2, 2022
