TUMPAT – Three sisters have died, believed to have been electrocuted while making their way through floodwaters in Kg Bendang Surau near Morak, here today.

According to reports, the victims were aged between 20 and 27 and died at the scene at about 11.45am.

It is learnt that one of the victims was electrocuted after touching a pole near a house before her two sisters were also affected.

A family member, Mohd Amin Mohd Nazar, 25, confirmed the incident, as reported by Berita Harian.

The bodies of the victims have since been sent to Tumpat Hospital for post-mortem.

Police have since ruled out foul play and classified the case as sudden death. – The Vibes, December 19, 2022
