KUALA LUMPUR – A girl’s body was found at the site of the Batang Kali landslide at 11.20pm yesterday.
This marks the 25th casualty in the landslide disaster at Father’s Organic Farm, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said in a Facebook post late last night.
The girl’s body was found in Sector C of the disaster site and was being removed from the mud, the department said in its post at around midnight.
The girl was believed to be between five and seven years old and her remains had been sent to the Sg Buloh Hospital for post-mortem.
With this, eight people remain missing. The search continues into its sixth day today.

The department also said that of the 25 dead, eight were children: five boys and three girls.
The adults who died were 13 women and four men.
Ninety-four people were affected in the landslide that occurred in the wee hours of Friday morning. Sixty-one people are safe, with some having sustained injuries.
Among the victims were teachers from SJK(C) Mun Choong in Kuala Lumpur and their family members.
The search for the missing victims has been hampered by waterlogged and unstable soil, as well as by rainy weather. – The Vibes, December 21, 2022
