KOTA BARU – Seven food premises in Gua Musang were ordered to close for 14 days after they were found to not meet the stipulated hygiene standard, said Kelantan Health Director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin.

The order was issued following a two-day operation conducted by the department’s Food Safety and Quality Division, involving 70 personnel, which started two days ago.

“A total of 71 premises were inspected in Bandar Baru Gua Musang, Bandar Lama Gua Musang, Chiku, Paloh, Taman Tropika, and Dataran Kesedar – following that, 98 compound notices were issued to premises owners and food operators for various offences under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009,” he said in a statement today. – Bernama, January 19, 2023
