KUALA LUMPUR – Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil will meet Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) and the management of the Putra Ria Apartment tomorrow to discuss the best solution after water supply to the apartment was disconnected over unpaid bills.

In a Facebook post last night, Fahmi, who is also the Lembah Pantai MP, said the issue arose after errant residents accumulated RM170,000 in unpaid water bills to Air Selangor.

“Based on records, a total of 358 units (54.2%) owed maintenance fees totalling RM2.47 million (average RM6,899).

“The issue is too many residents are not paying their monthly maintenance bills despite being reminded by the management,” he said, adding that he would also be present at the meeting with residents.

Meanwhile, he said Air Selangor has agreed to temporarily connect the water supply to the apartment last night. – Bernama, February 23, 2023
