MELAKA – The state Health Department and its personnel have never gone around collecting money from business premises to fund the association’s bulletin.

State Health Director Datuk Dr Rusdi Abd Rahman said money was only collected for health services provided at existing health facilities.

“The Melaka Health Department received public complaints on Friday regarding irresponsible parties claiming to be health personnel going to business premises and collecting money for the purpose of funding the association’s bulletin.

“The department’s investigation found that the association is not listed under the supervision of the (Health Ministry) and a police report has been made,” he said in a statement today.

He said the public can contact the Melaka Health Department at 06-235-6999 if they have any inquiries or complaints. – Bernama, March 4, 2023
