KUALA LUMPUR – Saudi Arabia’s Hajj and Umrah Ministry (MoHU) today announced that applications for permits to perform umrah during Ramadan 1444H are now open.

The ministry, in a statement uploaded on its official Twitter page, said that applications were open to all Saudi citizens and foreigners by complying with the stipulated conditions.

“Applications should be made through the smartphone app Nusuk or Tawakkalna on the condition that the applicant is free of Covid-19 infection and not in close contact with any Covid-19 patient,” he said.

The statement also said that umrah permits for foreigners are valid for up to 90 days, while reminding pilgrims not to overstay beyond that period. – Bernama, March 8, 2023
