Anwar makes brief visit to Kedah for audience with ruler

ALOR STAR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim made a brief visit to Kedah for an audience with Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah at Istana Anak Bukit here tonight.

According to a Facebook post by Kedah police, the prime minister arrived with his delegation at the Sultan Abdul Halim Airport here at 8pm and was greeted by Kedah police chief Datuk Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad.

After his audience, the prime minister and his delegation visited the Langgar Royal Mausoleum to visit Sultan Abdul Hamid’s before departing for Kuala Lumpur.

Kedah mufti Datuk Sheikh Fadzil Awang, Suka Menanti assemblyman Datuk Zamri Yusuf and Kedah deputy police chief Datuk Mohd Roze Shaari accompanied the prime minister and his delegation during their visit. – Bernama, March 14, 2023
