The State Disaster Management Committee has reported that the number of victims at relief centres in Batu Pahat has dropped to 10,396 people at 51 centres from 13,872 at 59 centres last night. – Bernama pic, March 20, 2023

JOHOR BARU – The flood situation in Batu Pahat continues to improve as the number of victims at relief centres in the district dropped further as of 8am today.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the number dropped to 10,396 people at 51 centres from 13,872 at 59 centres last night.

According to the SDMC, the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Aman has the most number of evacuees at 552, followed by Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Cina) (SJKC) Li Chun (522) and SJKC Tongkang (478).

Three rivers are still at the warning level, namely Bekok Dam in Sg Bekok (19.06m), Sembrong Dam in Sg Sembrong (11.17m) and Sg Senggarang in Senggarang (3.30m).
