JOHOR BARU – Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) director Dr Mohtar Pungut @ Ahmad has been appointed Johor health director effective May 2. 

The appointment was announced by State Health and Unity Committee chairman Ling Tian Soon today. 

In a Facebook post, Ling said Dr Mohtar will replace Datuk Dr Aman Rabu who went on mandatory retirement on April 11. 

He said Dr Mohtar, 55, will still serve as HSA director until the end of this month.

“The state government congratulates Dr Mohtar on his appointment.

“It is hoped that his leadership can improve the quality of health services in Johor for the state to progress further and achieve excellence,” Ling said. – Bernama, April 26, 2023
