ALOR STAR – PKR will hold a special briefing involving its top leaders, MPs, and assemblymen in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow regarding the party’s preparations for the coming six state elections, said Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

The PKR secretary-general said among the matters to be tabled at the briefing were the status of seat negotiations, the current level of public support for PKR, and assignment of duties for leaders from states not involved in the coming polls.

“We will also table the strategy for the state polls. Different states require different strategies; for the three states controlled by Pakatan Harapan, the strategy is to retain them,” he told reporters after launching the Kedah PKR election machinery here today.

Apart from Kedah, five other states – Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Kelantan, and Terengganu – are also due to hold elections in the coming weeks. – Bernama, June 24, 2023
