JEMPOL – Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will meet MIC president Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran today, believed to be in relation to the alleged “poor treatment” by Umno during seat negotiations for the six state elections.

The prime minister said the meeting would also be attended by other MIC leaders to ensure there are no misunderstandings.

“We want to ensure there are no issues and we can work as a team. In DAP and PKR too, we have many Indian members.

“We need to work together and focus on making the country great,” he said at a rally in Jeram Padang last night.

Anwar, who is also Pakatan Harapan chairman, claimed that there are efforts to cause friction between the coalition and Barisan Nasional (BN).

He also claimed there are similar attempts to pit him against BN chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

“However, such attempts will not succeed, as unity between PH and BN is strong.” – The Vibes, August 1, 2023
