SHAH ALAM – The son of the late former science, technology and innovation minister Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis was not involved in the plane crash at Elmina, Shah Alam.

The family is asking the public to stop spreading the information following the flight’s manifest, which included a victim named “Bin Jamaluddin”.

A quick message stated that Jamaludin’s son is Ikhwan Hafiz, and not what was listed in the document.

On 4 April 2015, Jamaluddin was killed when an AS 3655N2 Dauphin (Registration Number 9M-1GB) helicopter crashed into a jungle at Jalan Sg Lalang in Kg Pasir Baru near Semenyih, Selangor.

Among those killed in the same vehicle were a businessman, chief executive of SP Baiduri Sdn Bhd, Tan Huat Seang and also a private secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Azlin Alias.

Jamaluddin, a former ambassador to the United States, was buried at Makam Pahlawan, located inside the Masjid Negara compound in Kuala Lumpur. – The Vibes, August 17, 2023
