KUALA LUMPUR – The motorcyclist who died in yesterday’s plane crash near Elmina in Shah Alam has been identified as Muhamad Hafiz Muhamad Salleh from Sidam in Kedah.

According to his cousin, Nurul Nazihah, the deceased had just completed his studies at Universiti Teknologi Mara and moved to Kuala Lumpur to work as a delivery rider.

Nazihah said she saw the viral videos of the crash and that a motorcyclist was also burnt to death in the incident, but never thought it would be one of her own family members.

“I saw the videos about 4pm yesterday and I also read about the motorcyclist who was killed... but never expected this.

“Later, police came to his house and informed (his family) about the tragic incident,” she said.

According to Nazihah, the victim, in his thirties, was the eldest of five siblings and was to return home to attend a kenduri next week.

“He has been working in Kuala Lumpur for some time now as a delivery rider. He completed his studies in 2017. We were very close.

“He was supposed to attend a wedding kenduri next week. I last saw him during Hari Raya... he was a very soft-spoken person who did not talk much.

“I humbly ask everyone to pray for him,” she added. – The Vibes, August 18, 2023
