KUALA LUMPUR – Losing one’s hair can be very distressing to a woman.

For Norliza Yahya, 47, having to shave her hair off as a cancer sufferer was a heartrending ordeal.

Not wanting her to go through it alone, her husband decided to do the same.

After shaving his wife’s hair, Mohd Fairul Mohd Azis, 37, proceeded to shave his hair too.

He said he could not bear to see his wife crying throughout the process at a salon in Puchong, near here, recently.

“I took Liza to the salon to cut her hair. I usually go there for my haircuts also,” he told mStar.

When he got there, he said he requested that he personally shave his wife’s hair.

Throughout the video, he is seen kissing his wife several times as both of them started to cry.

At the end of the process, Fairul, affectionately known as Erol, shocked his wife when, without hesitation, he proceeded to shave his head too.

“My wife was shocked to see me shave, but it is something I must do to show my love and support for her,” he said.

Norliza was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2022. She is now undergoing chemotherapy and has to go through six cycles.

“I pray for her to get better every day and for strength to go through these hard times,” he added.

The couple has seven children. – The Vibes, October 6, 2023
