THE directors of Manchester United have raised the value of the club despite it reporting a net loss of £92 million (RM520 million).
It has been found that senior directors were paid £9.5million for the year ending June 2021, a million less than the year before.
But that seems money well spent as they have boosted the value of the club to an extent that the Glazer family, that bought the club for about £750 million, may be tempted to sell.
The reign of the Glazers has been rather controversial ever since they bought the club in 2005.
The fact is the value of the club has increased 3-4 fold that it could be sold for between £2.5 billion to £3 billion.
With chief executive Ed Woodward leaving at the end of the year, the Glazers too may cash in on the club which should delight fans of the club. - Agencies, October 4, 2021
