KUALA LUMPUR − World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) group managing director Datuk Seri Irmohizam Ibrahim has been appointed as the first president of the Malaysian Golf Junior Association (MGJA).

MGJA, in a statement today, said the decision was unanimously reached by delegates at the inaugural MGJA general meeting for the 2022-2025 term, which was held yesterday.

MGJA, which was set up on February 15, stressed that the objective of its establishment, among others, was to unearth and hone young talents through training collaborations with public and private institutions of learning.

According to MGJA, the young should view golf as a challenge, which could take them up to the professional level.

Other members of the MGJA Supreme Committee are deputy president Mohd Zurie Harun, secretary-general Shaiful Azwandy Ishak, assistant secretary-general Abdul Qayyum Hamzah, treasurer Noor Ezam Mohd Piia Mohamed Pee and committee members Azmi Rashid, Mohd Azmi Mahmud, Mukhtar Alwi, Masrol Zainal Abidin and Muhammad Adam Shafiq Sazali. – Bernama, February 22, 2022
