In a statement today, the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) said she will be taking charge of the national squad’s training and preparations as well as be responsible for academy’s management and administration.
“Michelle, who had prior administrative positions with the Asian Football Confederation and the United Arab Emirates Football Association before joining BAM, comes with excellent credentials and will be a critical addition to the BAM and (academy) set-up.

“BAM is delighted with Michelle’s return and confident she will be able to deal with many challenges of managing the (academy) and the national players.”
The 47-year-old was BAM general manager from 2017 to 2019, and left for OCM to take up the role of CEO for three years.
Previously, BAM president Tan Sri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said there were plans to detach the academy from the governing body.
He also said BAM had approved US$20,000 (RM92,740) for the use of sports science methodologies that will be put in place to strengthen high-performance athletes in the academy. – The Vibes, October 1, 2022
