KUALA LUMPUR – Sabah para archers Fredoline Modius-Charlie Jikulis turned on the style to down Terengganu’s Muhammad Azaruddin Mat-Wan Muhammad Subkisarhan Wan Abdul Rahim 6-0 and clinch the men’s team recurve gold medal at the Para Malaysia Games (Para Sukma) 2022 at the National Sports Council (NSC) Turf Field here today.

What made the win sweeter is that Fredoline-Charlie managed to make amends for winning only the bronze medal at the 2018 edition in Ipoh, Perak.

The 30-year-old Charlie, who is from Papar, was delighted with their victory.

He attributed the victory to the hard work put in by him and the 36-year-old Fredoline, of Tambunan, since they forged a partnership in 2018.

Earlier, on the final day of the Para Sukma 2022, Sabah enjoyed a 1-2 finish in the men’s individual recurve final when Fredoline beat Charlie 6-2. – Bernama, November 6, 2022
