KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Association of Dodgeball (MAD) president Datuk V. Radhakrishnan has been elected as the new president of the Asian Dodgeball Federation (DBFA).

The 15 member nations of the DBFA emailed their votes to the World Dodgeball Federation (WDBF) in a special call to privately elect the new chief, in the name of transparency and clean elections.

The WDBF then tabulated the votes through a confidential proceeding and announced its victors.

MAD secretary-general Dasataran Subramaniam was also elected to represent the DBFA in a similar capacity.

“This is a great honour and recognition for me and for our country.

“It is a validation that all our efforts thus far have not been in vain and gone unnoticed.

“I forever pledge my commitment to the role and promise to bring the great game of dodgeball to greater heights in the region,” said Radhakrishnan, who was officially elected to the MAD president’s seat in 2019.

No stranger to Malaysian sports with over four decades of experience, Radhakrishnan also serves as the president of Malaysian Indian Badminton Association and deputy president of Malaysia Aesthetic Group Gymnastics Association presently.

He was also formerly the vice-president of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation.

WBDF also extended their congratulations to Radhakrishnan on his win and said they look forward to working with him towards further uplifting dodgeball in the region. – The Vibes, May 10, 2023
