AWARD-winning American actor Gene Hackman, 95, and his wife Betsy Arakawa have been found dead in their home in the US state of New Mexico, said foreign reports.
Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza stated that both Hackman and Arakawa had passed away, along with their dog.
Mendoza added that there was no foul play but gave no further details about the time or cause of death.
Hackman won a best actor Oscar for his leading role in The French Connection and later won a best supporting actor gong for his appearance in Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven.
The former Marine appeared in more than 80 films, as well as on television and the stage during a lengthy career that started in the early 1960s.– February 27, 2025
