KUALA LUMPUR – Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) through Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) has declared a 4.25-sen income distribution per unit for Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) and 0.75 sen “ehsan” payment for the first 30,000 units, the lowest in history.

The announcement was made by PNB chairman Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz via the company’s official Facebook page.

The low pay out, she said, is due to the fund’s size and the economy’s instability since the pandemic started.

She announced that the 4.25 sen income distribution will go to 10.2 million ASB holders for the year ending December 31.

To commemorate PNB’s 30th anniversary, the 0.75 sen ehsan income distribution is only for the first 30,000 units of ASB, bringing the total income distribution of the flagship fund to 5%.

This will involve a total payout of RM7.6 billion to 10.2 million members, who hold a total of 173.2 billion ASB units. – The Vibes, December 23, 2020
