KUALA LUMPUR – Market talk has it that the system used by Permodalan Nasional Bhd’s (PNB) unit trust management company has been allegedly hacked with data lost, following a purported breach last night.
In a response to The Vibes today, PNB said it is only a temporary stoppage due to maintenance work, and assures that the data is still secure.
“PNB would like to inform that its unit trust management company, Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), has been conducting an unscheduled systems and network maintenance exercise, which requires the temporary closure of ASNB branches today.
“Unit holders can continue to perform their transactions via myASNB.com.my, the myASNB mobile app, at more than 2,500 agent bank and post office branches nationwide, and our agent banks’ respective digital platforms, such as Maybank2u, CIMBClicks, AFFINOnline, RHBNow and HLB Connect.
“We wish to highlight that all data remain secure during the systems and network maintenance exercise.”
PNB is one of the country’s largest fund managers, with RM322.6 billion assets under management at the end of financial year 2020. – The Vibes, May 7, 2021
