KUALA LUMPUR – MBSB Bank Bhd has inked a memorandum of understanding with CelcomDigi as part of its continuous digitalisation journey to future-proof its banking operations and enrich customers’ experiences. 

In a joint statement today, both companies said this partnership will explore opportunities in end-to-end smart banking solutions that include comprehensive services for cyber security, smart retail solutions financing, and cloud infrastructure technology. 

The companies also intend to collaborate on finding new commercial opportunities and joint go-to-market activities to benefit customers and employees. 

MBSB Bank group chief executive officer Datuk Nor Azam M. Taib said that partnering with CelcomDigi is certainly a key milestone in an industry that has become increasingly competitive due to technological advances. 

He said that the bank has planned to establish industrial Internet of Things solutions as part of business financing with a focus on green technology adoption, automation and quality assurance. 

“We also intend to leverage on cloud technology in order to advance our digital capabilities as this shall help to increase our competitiveness level,” he said. 

Similarly, CelcomDigi chief executive officer Datuk Mohamad Idham Nawawi said the mobile network operator is excited to be MBSB Bank’s trusted digital partner. 

“We believe we have the right expertise and resources to help advance MBSB Bank’s digital capabilities, as the bank progresses in leveraging technology to bring enhanced products, services, and experiences for its customers.
