SME Bank donates RM50,000 to frontliners

KUALA LUMPUR – SME Bank, through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, has contributed RM50,000 to support frontliners via the National Security Council.

Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin presented the contribution to National Security (Strategic Security) Deputy Director-General Datuk Khairul Shahril Idrus.

“As a caring and responsible development financial institution, the contribution given is in the form of packed food to frontliners at selected government hospitals nationwide and agencies under the council,” Mas Ermieyati said.

SME Bank in a statement today said the CSR will be carried out simultaneously at 26 of its branches nationwide on December 16.

Besides providing assistance to the frontliners, SME Bank also conducts the “Penjana Komuniti@SMEBank” programme to assist 20 selected B40 micro entrepreneurs, whose economic activities has been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. – Bernama, December 12, 2020
