KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia Airlines Bhd is set to take delivery of its first brand new Boeing 737-8 aircraft in August 2023. 

In a statement today, the national carrier said it will gradually grow its 737-8 fleet to 25 by 2026. 

“The introduction of our new 737-8 aircraft in August 2023 sets a new standard in air travel. 

“(It) combines the best of Malaysian culture, advanced technology, and sustainable practices to create an unparalleled flying experience,” said Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) chief executive officer of Airlines Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi. 

Group-wide MAG currently owns a fleet size of 100 through its subsidiaries Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, MASwings and MASkargo. – Bernama, July 19, 202
