JOHNNY Depp is reportedly starting to date again and is in a “serious” relationship with a London-based lawyer who represented him in one of his libel cases.
Depp is said to be seeing Joelle Rich, 37, a partner in the international law firm Schillings. The firm’s other clients include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Rich, born Joelle Rashti, is allegedly separated and is in the process of a divorce with her financier husband, Jonathan Rich. Together they have two children.
Us Weekly reported that an insider has described Depp and Rich’s relationship as ‘serious’.
“Their chemistry is off the charts. It’s serious between them. It’s the real deal,” the source added.
Rich represented the Pirates of the Caribbean star in his unsuccessful defamation battle against the Sun at London’s High Court in July 2020, after the newspaper labelled him as a “wife beater” in one of its articles.
The actor lost his battle after a High Court judge ruled that Amber Heard’s proof of abuse she endured was “substantially true”.
Rich was not part of Depp’s legal team during his separate libel battle against Heard in Virginia, United States. But, she was present in the courtroom to show support for Depp, as reported by Us Weekly. – The Vibes, September 23, 2022
