FOR someone who grew up with KFC as their main fried chicken fast food chain, seeing Colonel Harland Sanders portrayed by Mario Lopez – formerly of Saved by the Bell, and more importantly, featured on the November 2013 cover of FitnessRX For Men magazine – is nothing but confusing.

Part of us wants to thank the heavens, but the other side asks, why tho.
The friendly father-figure-like face that plasters the walls and packaging of the worldwide chain has now taken a turn in Lifetime’s upcoming mini-movie, ‘A Recipe for Seduction’ starring Mario Lopez, and we can’t decide if it’s for the better or not.
With Lopez bringing his sexy vibes into the picture, he has successfully transformed a warm figure into a hot daddy.
And we are not the only ones noticing this as Twitter users are going cluckin’ mad over this.
Sorry I am unavailable on December 13th I will be watching the Lifetime KFC movie featuring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders https://t.co/QnpJccAAcO

Who would have thought to cast Lopez as Colonel Sanders? It’s like asking Jason Mamoa to play the role of Santa Claus! Well, Lifetime did, and KFC definitely jumped on it.
“We know what audiences love about Lifetime movies, so our creative team took the lead on scripting the story to make sure it had the same sensibilities and struck all the beats of a Lifetime Original movie – from romance to drama to intrigue,” David DeSocio, executive VP of ad sales marketing and partnerships at A+E Networks, which owns Lifetime, said in an interview.
“Then KFC added their brand elements and the cast brought it all to life.”
The 15-minute long parody mini-movie done in the spirit of Lifetime's soapy thrillers, debuts on December 13.
‘A Recipe for Seduction’ runs with the narrative of high-class elitists attempting to take each other out – secret affairs, recipes and god-knows what other secret lies within it.
A recipe for disaster? Or a recipe for prosperity?
Regardless, this definitely brings new meaning to their tagline, finger lickin’ good. – The Vibes, December 9, 2020
